Thorny Sunshine Snail

The Thorny Sunshine Snail, also called a horned nerite snail, or simply the Sun Snail, is an aggressive (if you can use that word for a snail) algae eater. These snails are the same size as the nerite family with similar care requirements. Sun snails are more difficult to breed and so command a slightly higher price than the nerite snail. These are SMALL snails and great for small tanks but they will get lost in larger tanks.

Clithon snails are plant safe and can handle fresh and light brackish water conditions.

Processing Time

All orders are processed within 1–3 business days (excluding weekends and holidays) after receiving your order confirmation email. You will receive another notification once your order has shipped.

If we experience a high volume of orders, shipments may be delayed by a few days. Please allow additional days in transit for delivery. If there will be a significant delay in your shipment, we will contact you via email or phone.

Shipping Rates and Delivery Estimates

Shipping charges for your order will be calculated and displayed at checkout.

Estimated delivery times:

  • Standard Shipping: 3–7 business days

  • Expedited Shipping: 2–3 business days

  • Overnight Shipping: 1 business day

Delivery delays can occasionally occur due to carrier issues, weather, or other unforeseen factors.

Shipment Confirmation and Order Tracking

You will receive a shipping confirmation email once your order has shipped. This email will include your tracking number(s). The tracking number will be active within 24 hours.

Shipping Locations

We currently ship to addresses within the United States (and U.S. territories if applicable).
We do not ship to P.O. Boxes or APO/FPO/DPO addresses at this time.

If you would like international shipping, please contact us prior to placing your order to see if special arrangements can be made.

Damages

We are not liable for products damaged or lost during shipping. If you received your order damaged, please contact the shipment carrier to file a claim.

Please save all packaging materials and damaged goods before filing a claim.

Missing or Lost Packages

If your package shows as “delivered” but you haven’t received it:

  1. Check with neighbors or family members who might have received it on your behalf.

  2. Verify your shipping address on the order.
